Performance Evaluation of PV Panel Powered Dual Thermoelectric Air Conditioning System

Thermoelectric air condition system (TEACs) powered by solar photovoltaics is useful for thermal comfort applications, especially when there a direct energy source like sunlight. This paper presents experimental investigations of solar-powered thermoelectric conditioning both cooling and heating modes. The experiments were carried out in test room whose volume 1 m3 under the climatic conditions city Baghdad. In summer, device functions as Peltier cooler. cold side absorbs heat from inside to lower room's temperature. As winter, released module reversing current applied raise this work, was supplied with different electrical power supply values time intervals between ON/OFF operations. results showed that could cool well operation conditions. lowest temperature (22°C) achieved mode, Coefficient Performance (COP) 0.64 an exergy efficiency 0.47. contrast, highest (31°C) COP 0.87 0.75. simple eco-friendly method can minimize load room.
